轉(zhuǎn)譯：英語中常用介詞來表達動作意義。漢譯時，可將介詞轉(zhuǎn)譯成動詞。

①在作表語的介詞短語中，介詞常轉(zhuǎn)譯為動詞，而連系動詞則省略不譯。如：This machine is out of repair.這臺機器失修了。

②在作目的或原因狀語的介詞短語中，介詞有時轉(zhuǎn)譯成動詞。如：

The letter E is commonly used for electromotive force.通常用E這個字母表示電動勢。

③在作條件、方式或方法狀語的介詞短語中，介詞有時轉(zhuǎn)譯成動詞。如：

But even the larger molecules with several hundred atoms are too ***all to be seen with the best optical microscope.但是，即使有幾百個原子的分子也是太小了，用1好的光學顯微鏡也看不見它們。“譯”是指這兩種語言轉(zhuǎn)換的過程，把甲語轉(zhuǎn)換成乙語，在譯成當?shù)卣Z言的文字中，進而明白乙語的含義。

④介詞短語作補足語時，其中介詞常轉(zhuǎn)譯成動詞。如：

Heat sets these particles in random motion.熱量使這些粒子作隨機運動。

　　It seems that it is going to snow.

　　看起來要下雪了。

　　That is why Jack got scolded.

　　這就是杰克受到訓斥的原因。

　　The question remains whether we can win the majority of the people.

　　問題是我們能否贏得大多數(shù)人民群眾的支持。

　　His view of the press was that the reporters were either for him or against him.

他對新聞界的看法是，記者們不是支持他，就是反對他。
